Quick answer: SeaWorld's Christmas Celebration can work well for toddlers because it is included with park admission, children 2 and younger are free, and Sesame Street Land, holiday shows and character meet and greets are part of the event, not just the lights after dark. SeaWorld's event page lists November 6, 2026 to January 4, 2027 on select nights, and the fireworks finale happens at park close, which is 9 or 10 pm on most December event days. For most toddlers that means a midday nap and a stroller if you want to stay for the lights.

We checked each fact below against the official page on October 12, 2026. Dates and hours change, so confirm before you go.

Key Takeaways

  • The event page headline lists November 6, 2026 to January 4, 2027, but an FAQ on the same page says November 7 to January 5. SeaWorld does not say which is right, so use the park hours calendar, which marks the Christmas Celebration days it has published (see the table below).
  • The lights, shows, Sesame Street Christmas Parade, snow flurries and Santa meet and greet are included with admission. Dinner with Santa, tours and ice skating are separate.
  • Children 2 and younger do not need a ticket. Guests 3 and older do.
  • Holiday Reflections, the fireworks finale, runs at park close on event nights, which is late for toddlers. Plan a nap and treat the fireworks as optional.
  • SeaWorld's policy pages say strollers are inspected at entry and do not list a size limit. Park stroller rentals start at $42.00, and outside food is not allowed except for special dietary needs such as baby food and formula (a water bottle is allowed).

Which days are Christmas Celebration days?

This is the part most guides skip. According to SeaWorld's Christmas Celebration page, the event runs on select nights, and the park hours calendar labels the event days. Here is what the calendar showed on October 12, 2026.

PeriodEvent days markedPark hours listed
November 6 to 29Fri to Sun on Nov 6 to 8 and Nov 13 to 15; every day from Nov 20 to 29Opens 9 or 10 am, closes 9 or 10 pm
November 30Not marked10 am to 6 pm
December 1 to 3 and 7 to 10Not marked9:30 am to 6 pm
December 4 to 6 and 11 to 13Fri to Sun, markedFri 9:30 am to 9 pm, Sat 9 am to 10 pm, Sun 9 am to 9 pm
December 14 to 31Every day, markedDec 14 is 9 am to 8 pm; Dec 15 to 30 open 8 or 9 am and close 9 or 10 pm; Dec 24 and 25 are 9 am to 10 pm; Dec 31 is 8 am to 1 am
January 2027No January days were marked when we checked, even though the event page lists a January 4 end date. The event page also lists a separate Three Kings Celebration for January 3 to 6Jan 1 is 8 am to 9 pm; Jan 2 to 5 are 9 am to 9 pm; Jan 6 is 9 am to 7 pm

The takeaway for families: on early-December weekdays the calendar shows ordinary park hours without the event, while Fridays through Sundays in early December and every day from December 14 are event days. If the lights and holiday shows matter to you, pick an event day. Some text on SeaWorld's pages looks left over from last season (the shows page still says "Ring in 2026" for New Year's Eve, while the event page says 2027), so treat the calendar as the most current source and check it again before you buy tickets.

What is included with admission

SeaWorld says the event is included with park admission and with a SeaWorld annual pass, and no reservation is needed. Its Christmas shows and events page lists these highlights:

  • Sea of Trees: a lagoon show of lit trees dancing to music, topped by a 70 foot Christmas centerpiece.
  • Snow Flurries at the Waterfront: "snow" along the waterfront with marching toy soldiers, a ballerina and Santa's helpers.
  • Holiday Trains: a miniature Christmas train display right outside Dolphin Nursery.
  • Clyde and Seamore's Countdown to Christmas: a comedy show at Sea Lion & Otter Stadium billed as fun for all ages.
  • Winter Wonderland On Ice: an ice skating show for the whole family, on select dates.
  • O Wondrous Night: the Nativity story told with life-size puppets, live animals and more than 30 carols.
  • Miracles: a night show with orcas, lights and holiday music.
  • Rudolph's Christmas Town: storybook scenes and meet and greets with Rudolph and friends on the Pipeline Pathway.
  • Mrs. Claus' Magic Kitchen and the Elves Christmas Story: a comedy cooking show and a storytelling show that may ask a little one to help.

Show times are not printed as clock times on these pages. Use the show schedule on SeaWorld's park hours page for your date, and plan around one or two big items rather than trying to see everything. Many holiday entertainment options are indoors and run rain or shine, according to SeaWorld.

Sesame Street Land at Christmas

For toddlers, this is the anchor of the day. The Sesame Street Christmas Parade runs in Sesame Street Land, and SeaWorld's page lists Big Bird's Christmas Storytime at select times, plus holiday photos with Elmo and friends throughout the day. A Hanukkah Celebration from December 4 to 12 adds nightly menorah lightings and storytelling in Sesame Street Land, and Kwanzaa Festivities run December 26 to January 1.

The land's rides are labeled kid friendly on SeaWorld's rides page, including Abby's Flower Tower, Cookie Drop!, Rosita's Harmony Hills, Slimey's Slider and the Sunny Day Carousel. Elmo's Choo Choo Train has a 36 inch minimum height. Rubber Duckie Water Works is a splash fountain, so bring a towel or skip it on a cool day. For a ride-by-ride breakdown outside the holidays, see our SeaWorld Orlando with toddlers planning guide.

What costs extra

SeaWorld's Christmas upgrades and shows pages list several add-ons (prices as listed on October 12, 2026, "starting at," and they can change):

O Wondrous Night Up-Close TourBehind-the-scenes visit to the show's animals; limited spotsFrom $39.99

ParkingSeaWorld's pages disagree: the upgrades page says parking starts at $35.00, while the rentals page lists $37.00 plus tax$35.00 or $37.00 plus tax, so confirm when you buy

None of these are needed for a good toddler day. The Santa meet and greet at Waterway Grill and the Rudolph meet and greets are part of the event, and SeaWorld notes that professional photographers are on hand for Santa photos (we did not find photo prices on the pages we read).

A toddler timeline for a Christmas Celebration day

This is our suggested pace for a Saturday event day when the park runs 9 am to 10 pm. It is not an official schedule, and the clock times for the snow flurries, Santa, Rudolph and the Sea of Trees were not printed on the pages we read, so check SeaWorld's show schedule or app for your date before you build the day around them.

TimePlan
9:00 amArrive at opening and go straight to Sesame Street Land while it is calm
10:30 amStorytime with Big Bird or photos with Elmo and friends (check the schedule)
12:00 pmEarly lunch; outside food is not allowed, so plan to buy it
12:45 to 3:00 pmNap in the stroller or back at the vacation home; the Holiday Trains by Dolphin Nursery make a quiet restart
3:30 pmSnow flurries on the Waterfront, Santa at Waterway Grill, Rudolph's Christmas Town
5:30 pmDinner, then Sea of Trees as it gets dark
8 to 10 pmOptional: a night show or the fireworks finale at park close

Strollers, food and tickets

Children 2 and younger receive free admission, and tickets are required from age 3, according to SeaWorld's FAQ. SeaWorld rents single and double strollers first come, first served at the rental shop near Guest Services, and the rentals page lists strollers from $42.00 (it also has a "select date" button for buying a rental in advance). Its park policies page says strollers are subject to inspection at entry, and we found no stroller size limit and no rule on wagons and stroller wagons on the pages we checked. If you plan to bring a large stroller, check with SeaWorld Guest Relations first.

If you would rather have your own stroller for the whole stay, Honest Sherpa's stroller rentals include single, umbrella, jogging and double options, and the category also lists rain covers. For toddler naps at the rental, see the cribs and bedding category, which lists a Pack and Play.

On food: SeaWorld does not allow outside food, drinks or coolers except a water bottle, with exceptions for special dietary needs including baby food and formula. Tell Park Security or Guest Relations at arrival about toddler food.

On the midday nap at the rental: SeaWorld's FAQ says guests can re-enter the park with a proper hand stamp and a valid admission ticket, and that you must get your hand stamped before you leave. Without both, re-entry will not be allowed, so do not skip the stamp.

Weather and what to pack

NWS Melbourne's Orlando climate table lists a December normal high of 73.8°F and a normal low of 52.9°F, and December 25 normals of 73°F and 51°F. Evenings are cooler than the daytime normal high, so a toddler asleep in a stroller after dark may want a blanket. Pack a light jacket and hat for each child, a spare outfit, sunscreen for the daytime and a rain cover for the stroller. Our Orlando weather and baby gear guide covers what to rent by season.
