Quick answer: The easiest Christmas lights in Orlando for families with little kids in 2026 are free evening displays such as Sunset Walk's Holiday Nights, Winter Garden's City Hall light show and the Lake Eola tree lighting, plus ticketed shows like Dazzling Nights at Leu Gardens and SeaWorld's Christmas Celebration. Sunset comes at about 5:30 pm in December, so you can see lights before most toddlers' bedtime if you go early and bring a stroller.

We checked each fact below against official pages on October 12, 2026. Dates and hours change, and some cities had not posted 2026 details yet, so confirm before you go.

Sunset Walk Holiday Nights, Kissimmee

The Promenade at Sunset Walk lists Holiday Nights on select nights from November 19 to December 25, 2026, from 6 to 10 pm. The nights are November 19 to 22 and 27 to 29, December 3 to 6, 10 to 13 and 17 to 25. Admission and parking are free, and a 40-foot animated Christmas tree lights up nightly at 6:30 pm with snowfall and s'mores fire pits. The page's photo caption still shows 2025 dates, so confirm your night before driving over. Train rides cost $8 each.

Lake Eola tree lighting, downtown Orlando

The City of Orlando's 2026 Tree Lighting Celebration is Friday, December 4, from 5:30 to 9:30 pm at Lake Eola Park. It is free and includes holiday performances, food trucks, a market with more than 30 vendors, snowfall, a visit with Santa and the countdown to lighting the city's Christmas tree. The page does not list dates for the nightly tree show, so check the city before planning a return visit.

Winter Garden

The City of Winter Garden's A Merry Winter Garden Light Show projects an animated holiday show with music on the front of City Hall. It runs on 11 nights, December 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, 26 and 27, from 6 to 9 pm, and it is free. Light Up Winter Garden is the same Friday, December 4, from 6 to 9 pm and also free, with a snow play area and sled hill for kids. Winter Garden's own pages disagree on a few other holiday dates, such as the Christmas parade, so we are not listing those.

Winter Park

The City of Winter Park's page lists Winter on the Avenue on December 4, 2026, from 5 to 9 pm in Central Park, with a tree lighting, a menorah lighting, carolers, snow slides, a bubble bus and Santa. The event is free. One sentence on the page, about the Holiday Art Competition winners, still says "Friday, Dec. 5," which does not match 2026 (December 5 is a Saturday), so confirm the date before you go. Winter Park's Celebrate on Park page still showed 2025 dates when we checked, so we are not listing its light displays.

Ticketed light shows worth the money

Dazzling Nights at Leu Gardens

Dazzling Nights runs November 20, 2026 to January 3, 2027 on select nights as a 3/4-mile walk-through. Entry times start at 5:30 pm and repeat every 15 minutes, and entry closes five minutes after your timeslot. The site lists ages 13 and up as adults and ages 4 to 12 as children, and its FAQ says children 3 and under enter free and do not need a ticket. Most of the event is accessible to strollers and wheelchairs, but Leu Gardens has no strollers to borrow, and some pathways are woodchip or fine gravel with steps or slopes. General admission is $35 to $56 for adults and $33 to $53 for children, including fees, plus tax, depending on the night and entry time. Parking is not included: on-site valet must be pre-paid online ($49 including fees, plus tax, per the FAQ), and the site also lists complimentary off-site parking with a shuttle, with shuttle details not posted when we checked. It is an outdoor event that goes on in the rain except in extreme weather.

Asian Lantern Festival: Into the Wild at the Central Florida Zoo

The zoo's official name for the event is Asian Lantern Festival: Into the Wild. It runs at the Central Florida Zoo in Sanford on select nights from November 13, 2026 to January 17, 2027, from 6 to 10 pm, with timed entry at 6, 7 or 8 pm and a last admission at 9:15 pm. It is a 3/4-mile walking path that takes most groups one to one and a half hours. Tickets are sold online only in advance, with no walk-up sales, and the zoo warns that nights can sell out. It runs rain or shine with no refunds or date exchanges, and a zoo admission ticket is not needed. You will not see animals, because they stay in their night habitats. The zoo lists Sensory Nights for families on December 1 and January 12, Adults-Only Nights on December 10 and January 5, a Family-Friendly New Year's Eve Countdown on December 31 at 7 and 8 pm, and Santa visits on December 20 to 23.

Christmas at Gaylord Palms

Christmas at Gaylord Palms runs November 13, 2026 to January 3, 2027 and advertises more than 3 million lights around the resort. ice! featuring The Polar Express is a separate timed ticket. Inside, it is 9 degrees Fahrenheit, and every guest gets a free hooded parka in sizes from infants up to adult 4XL. Most guests spend 20 to 40 minutes inside, which is toddler friendly. Gaylord lists a 42-inch height restriction for its Snow Flow Mountain tube slide, so it is a better fit for older siblings. Gaylord's FAQ does not say which areas day visitors can see without a ticket, so check before you drive over. Self-parking is $38 daily.

Theme park lights

  • SeaWorld: The Christmas Celebration runs on select nights, and the page gives November 6 to January 4 in its headline and November 7 to January 5 in its FAQ. It is included with admission and lists a sea of trees, snow flurries and nightly fireworks. SeaWorld's shows page lists December 31 as the last fireworks night and its FAQ says January 1, so confirm the last night before you go. Our SeaWorld Christmas Celebration guide for toddlers has the details.
  • Disney: On its holidays page, Disney lists decor from November 13 to January 6, holiday projections on the Hollywood Tower Hotel nightly, the Tree of Life Awakenings Holiday Edition each evening, a 55-foot Christmas tree at Animal Kingdom's entrance and EPCOT's Glimmering Greenhouses boat ride (November 27 to December 30, any height). Details not posted yet, and what we left out

  • Disney Springs: Disney's page says the 2025 holiday offering concluded and to check back for 2026, so we are not listing the Christmas Tree Stroll.
  • Kissimmee Festival of Lights: the city page still showed the December 13, 2025 parade, so 2026 dates are not confirmed.
  • Celebration Now Snowing: the Celebration Town Center page says snowfall begins November 28, 2026, but its nightly time is listed two ways. See our snow in Orlando guide.
  • Neighborhood house displays and drive-through shows: we did not find an official city or tourism page listing individual 2026 displays or a drive-through show, so we have not included any.

Tips for Christmas lights with little kids

Go early, because sunset is early

According to the U.S. Naval Observatory, sunset in Orlando is 5:30 pm on November 20, 5:29 pm on December 10 and 5:35 pm on December 24, and civil twilight ends at about 5:55 to 6:01 pm. That means lights look good by 6 pm, which is a manageable bedtime window for many toddlers. Book the first timed slot and have dinner afterward.

Plan the evening backward from bedtime

TimePlan
12:30 to 2:30 pmNap at the rental
4:00 pmSnack, coats or light layers, load the stroller
5:30 pmArrive for a first-slot entry (Dazzling Nights at 5:30 or a 6 pm zoo slot)
6:30 pmTree lighting or a quick snow moment, then dinner
7:30 pmHead home; a sleepy toddler can nap in the car

These times are our suggestions, not venue times.

Strollers, car seats and weather

A stroller is the best tool for light shows because it doubles as a bed. Disney's rules prohibit strollers larger than 31 inches wide and 52 inches long and prohibit stroller wagons. Wagons are prohibited at any Disney theme park. Elsewhere, check each venue's stroller rules, and Dazzling Nights says most of its path is stroller accessible. Honest Sherpa rents single, umbrella, jogger and double strollers plus rain covers, which help because the zoo's festival and Dazzling Nights both go ahead in the rain. If you need a seat for the drive home, Honest Sherpa lists a convertible car seat and a booster, not an infant bucket seat.

Bring the lights home to your rental

If your trip includes a quiet Christmas morning, you can rent a tree. Honest Sherpa's Christmas category lists live trees in three sizes, a 7-foot pre-lit artificial tree, a 2-foot tabletop tree, a front door wreath and a set of four stockings. Our guide to renting a Christmas tree in Orlando has the details, and our Christmas in Orlando overview covers the rest of the season.
